Rubix and I met and adopted each other while I was working one of my seasonal jobs in West Yellowstone, Montana. He was 3 years old, and I have determined him to be 100% pure rescue breed. I became inspired to write Rubix Ruckus Reubenstein Takes Himself On A Hike, on our "get to know" me hikes in the surrounding forest. We passed each other's tests, and through observations of his reactions to the wildlife that crossed our paths, and photographs, a book materialized, and he adopted a new human! I was connected with illustrator, Fernando Molinari through a friend, and his talents shine through for Rubix's fantasy hike!

Rubix Ruckus Reubenstein Visits The Farm was inspired from our caretaking job at a Farmed Animal Sanctuary. Observing Rubix and the animals at the farm inspired many photographs and pages for a new children's book. Kit Jagoda of River's Wish Sanctuary provided the beautiful illustrations for Rubix's Visit.

Rubix inspires me and teaches me new lessons in all of our travels. I hope through reading our books you and your children feel the same!
